The lessons we will present will focus on getting students up to the smartboard and out of their desks.  We will be covering template lessons that the viewer will be able to download off our website.  Although we will be focusing on Math topics, most lessons can be applied to any subject.  Dave Sladkey is a high school math teacher and Scott Miller is the Instructional Coordinator for the Math Department at Naperville Central High School in Naperville Illinois just west of Chicago.  Both have been using the Smartboard since 2004.  They have presented numerous times at Smartboard workshops at the school, district, state, and national level. <description><![CDATA[<p>In this week's podcast we look at a lesson structure called &quot;Finish the Chart&quot;.&nbsp; There a few different math examples, however, they can easily be adapted to any subject area.&nbsp; The tip of the day is using the Oops button which is actually the undo button.&nbsp; We finish with a tutorial on how to Print Capture something.</p>

<description><![CDATA[<div align="center"></div><p class="MsoNormal" align="left">Hosts Scott Miller and David Sladkey of Naperville Central High School in IL talk about a lesson involving Filling in the Missing Pieces.&nbsp; This lesson structure shows how you can give a simple definition in notebook and still engage students minds.&nbsp; The tip of the day deals with making regular shapes in smartboard like a perfect circle, or hexegon or any shape.&nbsp;&nbsp; Also described in this episode is a&nbsp;activity that you can have your students do when in the middle of class to get their brains and bodies moving a little bit called rocks, paper, scissors, Math.&nbsp; Lastly we cover how to make a brain based&nbsp;activity&nbsp;in powerpoint.&nbsp; We export a smartboard document to powerpoint and then change some settings in powerpoint to make it a timed activity.</p>
