This sturcture is where pieces of the lesson are missing (burnt) and the students have to figure out (deduce) what the pieces actually were. The smartboard tip is changing views in smartboard. Wed, 6 February 2008 Hosts Scott Miller and David Sladkey of Naperville Central High School in IL talk about a lesson involving Filling in the Missing Pieces. This lesson structure shows how you can give a simple definition in notebook and still engage students minds. The tip of the day deals with making regular shapes in smartboard like a perfect circle, or hexegon or any shape. Also described in this episode is a activity that you can have your students do when in the middle of class to get their brains and bodies moving a little bit called rocks, paper, scissors, Math. Lastly we cover how to make a brain based activity in powerpoint. We export a smartboard document to powerpoint and then change some settings in powerpoint to make it a timed activity.
