Mon, 21 December 2009 Happy Holidays! In this podcast we take a look at a template called Guess the picture. Here is how it works. You put a picture or a problem or a sentence behind a few squares. You have a student and their partner go to the Smartboard and delete one square. They and the rest of the class try to guess what the picture is from the revealed area. If they don't guess correctly, another set of two people come up and delete another square. This occurs until the picture is guessed. Scott has designed a few cool holiday items for the podcast. He shows a really nice snowflake maker. Hope you enjoy the show. Get this podcast download and many other resources at www.teachingwithsmartboard.com Dave and Scott Comments[0] |
Thu, 17 December 2009 In this podcast we cover the teaching template called Order of Importance. This is a way to put a set of items in a certain order. However, the order depends on the students choices. The only thing the students have to do is JUSTIFY why they put items in the particular place. It is a great way to get students to engage in the material and take a stand. This can be used in almost any subject and any age. We also go over a few listener submitted letters. We have to admit that we forgot to put in the jokes this week. Some of you may be happy about that. We will definitely put them in next podcast. http://teachingwithsmartboard.com/
